Lenmar Shipping announces an Inland Operations Surcharge for Full Load Container shipments imported to, or exported from the Port of Palm Beach, Florida, effective September 26th, 2021.
As a result of the current trucking and driver shortages in the entire United States, it has become increasingly difficult for our Trucking Vendors to hire and maintain truck drivers. In essence, the current state of the trucking industry is one of high demand, and a low supply of drivers. As a consequence, our vendors are now passing on these increased operational costs to their customers.
Under this situation, it has become necessary for Lenmar Shipping, to pass through these added operational costs to our customers in order to retain our service levels on container movements.
When Lenmar Shipping arranges the inland transportation for Full Container shipments (imports/exports) from The Port of Palm Beach, an Inland Operations Surcharge of $200.00 per container will be applied. This charge is applicable on pick-ups and deliveries within Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties) as well as Lenmar Shipping’s Full Load consolidations (cargo received and handled at Lenmar Shipping facilities).
Pick-ups and deliveries outside Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties will be quoted separately on a case-by-case basis.
The charge will be applied per container and is in addition to all other inland charges found within Lenmar Shipping’s tariff, NRA’s, NSA’s or Service Contracts and is effective September 26th, 2021.
